Signature is Emma Willard’s capstone program for eleventh and twelfth graders. Together with a mentor on campus, and often experts off campus, Signature students work to create presentations that are shared with our school community in May, including alumnae.
A Signature begins with a student passion, and becomes a capstone project with the guidance of mentors. Students maintain a blog to document the experience of creating a Signature, and enroll in a course to earn credit. Students apply to be accepted into the program, which is entirely optional.
Jon Calos (Science Teacher, STEAM internship Director) is the program director.
Lindsay Slaughter (Visual Arts Teacher) and Katie Archambault (Director of Research) are program managers.
Anne Mossop (Practicum director) is a key collaborator.
